It was my first day in summer internship project. Supervisors made us visited to a glass manufacturing plant.
Visit to the plant was the realization of human capabilities. The tasks which are even difficult to imagine by human mind have been converted into reality by the same human kind. I have listened many motivational gurus and teachers saying that nothing is unachievable, no limit for human capabilities, if one can think he can do it; all these lessons seems true to me after visiting the huge glass manufacturing company’s plant which have 65% of market share.
A big furnace heating at 15000 C, electrical boosters further enhancing the temperature, raw material mixing in the batch plant and fix proportion dropping in the furnace at constant rate. The gob (output) coming out from the furnace and being divided into different moulds to be shaped.
Something very hot looks like fire ball drops. Then some arms come out from the machine and catch that fire ball. Suddenly arm1, arm2 & arm3 appear and put their operations on the fire balls to which they call gob now resting in the mould. In few seconds gob converts into hot orange bottle. Few more quick operations on it and then we find a very nice shining fully transparent bottle in conveyer belt.
The bottles journey doesn’t complete here. Many giant machines are waiting for the bottle to check strength, dimensions, shape etc. if bottle is not lucky enough it will be crushed without mercy and will return to furnace again.
Oh humans, I am impressed. You are here to achieve. You proved that your actions can shut the mouth of those who don’t k now that passions drive desires to fulfill dreams.
